About Friends of Wehr

We are a non-profit organization that supports the mission of Wehr Nature Center and Nature in the Parks. Friends of Wehr provides all the funding for exhibit development, internships, program supplies, land management supplies and educational enhancements. These are financed through donations; interest from investments and endowment; fund raising events; and grants. The decline in county based funding has increased the financial involvement of Friends of Wehr. To help meet this increased need, Friends of Wehr has an annual fund raising event called  Walkabout at Wehr.

There are many ways you can be a part of Friends of Wehr. You can become a Friends Of Wehr member, become a volunteer or be a sponsor.
