Ways to Participate

·         Donate Your Time! Volunteers are the lifeblood of Wehr Nature Center and Nature in the Parks. If you're interested in volunteering please call Jo Williams at Wehr Nature Center for the next volunteer orientation and begin a fun and rewarding experience! All ages are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Don't hesitate to call and Jo will find a job to fit your interests! Come join us for the next orientation in June!

 

·         Adopt an Animal! Help support one of the Wehr Nature Center's resident animals and receive a certificate of appreciation. E-mail us by clicking on Contact Us and request that an adopt an animal form be mailed to you. Be sure to include your address in the body of the e-mail. Stop into Wehr and ask to meet your adopted animal before or after your adoption."

 

·         Give to the General Animal Fund! It takes great care to maintain healthy resident Screech Owl, reptiles and amphibians which includes the animal room upkeep, equipment, etc. Go to MEMBERSHIP FORM, write in "Animal Fund" under Donation only and mail to Friends of Wehr. 
 

·         Build Part of the Boardwalk! Purchase a replacement section of the boardwalk and a personalized recognition plate will be mounted on your plank or section of new boardwalk. Please contact Wehr Nature Center for more information 414-425-8550.

 

·         Buy a Cookbook or two! Proceeds from this cookbook will help insure the continuation of programs and land stewardship. Visit Wehr's gift shop and purchase "Naturally Delicious" or click on cookbook print, complete form and mail it to Friends of Wehr.

 

·         Be a Part of the Giving Tree! Add a personalized leaf to the tree by financially supporting the on-going needs of WNC. Go to MEMBERSHIP FORM and scroll to the Giving Tree page for more information and mail form into Friends of Wehr.

 

·         Shop at Pick "N Save for Friends of Wehr! It's called the "We Care" program where Pick 'n Save will automatically contribute 1% of each grocery purchase total when you use your Advantage card at the checkout counter. It's simple to do, just register Friends of Wehr (#831817) at the service desk and add it to your Advantage card.

 

·         Help Enhance our Special Events. Reptile Sunday, Maple Sugar Weekend, Walkabout Wehr, Prairie Days, Cider Sunday, Halloween Haunts. Go to MEMBERSHIP FORM, specify the event you would like to sponsor under "Donations Only" and mail to Friends of Wehr.

 

·         Support-A-Program! Sponsor a child's participation, a class, or one of Nature in the Parks programs. Please call Ms. Pat Fojut for more information 414-425-8550 or e-mail Friends of Wehr at info@friendsofwehr.org
