Butterfly Count Workshop

Sunday, June 24, 2018 @ 9 am-12 pm 

Learn the basics of butterfly ID with butterfly expert, Brooke Gilley, then enjoy a morning hike through the woods and the prairie in search of our fluttery friends. Butterflies will be counted and recorded as part of our 31st Annual Butterfly Count, a citizen science project. Recommended for ages 13 and up.

Dress to be outdoors and on your feet, We use binoculars Monarch_Butterfly_-_Danaus_plexippus_(5890526585)and cameras to view and monitor butterflies along the trail. We have some binoculars to lend participants.

Fees: $5 per person donation accepted for NABA monitoring

$3.50 Regular parking fee in effect. FREE parking for FOW Members

For optional afternoon session: Meet in Wehr Fireplace Room at 1:45pm, hike will go from 2-4pm.
