WIN A TELESCOPE!
TAKE YOUR PICTURE ON THE MOON!
WALK TO THE ENDS OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM!
SEE THE MILKY WAY ACROSS THE SKY IN THE STARLAB!
PLAY SOME REALLY COOL ASTRONOMY GAMES!
All this and more will insure a fun-filled, starry afternoon at Wehr Nature Center. Kids can put on a spacesuit and have their pictures taken on the Moon, figure out how big the Moon and Mars are compared to Earth, try to estimate how far Mars is from Earth, and how much they’d weigh on other planets. All paid kids (7 – 18 years old, with a parent) can register to have their name entered in a drawing for a free telescope. The drawing, which will also include other astronomy prizes, will be held at 3:30 p.m. and participants must be present to win.
