This sweet program takes us from tapping to a pioneer sugarin’ camp to the how-to of making our own maple syrup. There is even a pancake with real maple syrup. Yum!
Bring the whole family for an afternoon to celebrate the budding of spring and our connection with Wisconsin’s past. Come and enjoy the maple sugaring process and see how it was done by the people who started the whole thing as well as the pioneers. The program includes a short walk on wood-chipped trails to the sugarbush, hands-on activities for the kids, and a visit to an old-time sugarin’ camp. A pancake with real maple syrup will top off the program and perhaps inspire you to make sugarin’ a new family tradition. Groups start their hikes at 1:00 p.m. and continue every 15 minutes until 4 pm.
It's hard to beat real maple syrup on a pancake!
