Whether you have a flair for the dramatic or like to work behind the scenes, there is job for you at Halloween Haunts.

Enchanted Forest Character Auditions

Do you have a theatrical streak? Are you a Halloween enthusiast? You might have what it takes to become one of Wehr’s spooky, kooky characters that educate visitors in the Enchanted Forest. Costumes and scripts are provided.

By appointment, from September 17 to September 30.

Time Commitment:

Schedule an appointment to audition. Contact Bev Bryant at beverly.bryant@milwncnty.com to receive a script and make appointment.
Attend Rehearsal on Monday, October 10 from 6-8 pm
Perform at least one evening of Halloween Haunts. Actors need to arrive by 5:45 pm and will finish no later than 9:45 pm

Decorating Day

Sunday, October 9, 4 -6 pm

We need your help transforming the Visitor Center into a spooktacular party place. Volunteers hang streamers, blow up balloons, and deck the walls with Halloween art. Open to individuals or groups. Please call or email to register.

Pumpkin Carving

Wednesday, October 12, 9 am to 4 pm (or until the pumpkins are carved!)

Come join the happy crew that creates the spectacular Jack-o-lanterns that line the Enchanted Forest Trail. No experience necessary. We provide carving tools and pumpkins; you provide the muscle and creativity! Work begins at 9:00 am and continues until all the pumpkins are carved.  You can come at any time and stay for as long as you can.  This is a great opportunity for your Corporate Day of Giving! It takes 50+ volunteers an evening to make Halloween Haunts happen.  There are outdoor jobs such as lighting Jack-o-lanterns and leading visitors along the trail, and many indoor tasks like serving popcorn, running games and crafts, taking tickets and more! This is fun volunteer opportunity for individuals, families and for groups.
