Reptile Day is an event for people of all ages.  Excitement awaits you at The Wehr Nature Center!   Get up close and personal with a variety of reptiles and amphibians from Wisconsin and around the world.  Learn the facts about our slithering and scaly wild creatures. Enjoy an assortment of kids crafts.  Refreshments available for purchase.

Highlights include:

  • See live snakes, turtles, and lizards up close and personal!
  • Meet Wisconsin natives like the Timber Rattlesnake and Ornate Box Turtle.
  • Learning interesting and fun facts about the cold-blooded creatures.

Sometimes people misjudge these creatures, but they play an important role in our environment. Understanding how snakes, lizards, and amphibians help us can lead to a different approach the next time you see one in the wild.  Learning new information and getting involved are the first steps to making a connection with the natural world.
