Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Wehr Nature Center and Nature in the Parks. About 200 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds make all this possible. Volunteer opportunities abound - from working with schoolchildren to boiling maple sap to chipping trails to caring for snakes and turtles - Wehr's volunteers do it all. And with great humor and energy. Their contributions are not only enormous but invaluable.

Wally and Randy complete another section of boardwalk.

Volunteers prepare land for the burn.

Fire ignited!

Ken, a FOW Board member, surveys the burned prairie for smoldering embers.
