Why walk the mall searching for a present when your children can create a handmade gift for the special people in their lives? The Wehr Nature Center invites you to bring your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, the neighborhood gang, or scout group to Wehr to create homemade treasures from natural, re-cycled, and re-purposed objects.

Highlights include:

Make and take home 3 different projects for the admission fee. Projects include tree cookie coasters, pencil holders, recycled crayons, a variety of holiday ornaments, homemade wrapping paper, large pine cone holiday trees and more. Stop b

Pre-registration is required for scout groups; families and individuals may pay at door. Scout groups can call 414-425-8550 to register.

Recommended for children ages 5 and older


Book Signing from 11am – 2pm!wolf-book-signing

Kelly Condon’s and Pat Dobrinska’s new children’s book, “Together, We are Family”  has arrived.  Pat will be joining us at Wehr on Saturday, Dec. 3 during Homemade Holidays from 11am – 2pm.

Paintings from the book will be on hand for viewing. Light refreshments provided.
