We believe every person deserves access to meaningful, hands-on education and opportunities to connect with nature, regardless of background or circumstance. Our commitment to education for all remains at the heart of our work through our programs like SPARK!, a program developed for people experiencing memory loss, Operation Recon, a program focuses on Veterans, and scholarships like Kids in the Park dedicated to funding field trips for students. 

This year we are placing a special focus on supporting veterans through our Operation Recon programming. These funds will help provide veterans with meaningful outdoor experiences, connection, and opportunities to engage with nature in ways that support their well-being and continued growth.

At Wehr, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy and wonder of nature. We’re proud to be a leader in accessible outdoor experiences, with tactile trail maps and free trail tools like seat canes and parabolic ears that help visitors of all abilities explore with confidence. Your gift helps us continue breaking down barriers and creating a place where everyone feels welcome on the trails.

Help keep our trails welcoming and open to every visitor regardless of abilities. These funds specifically support maintenance of our all-terrain wheelchair program in partnership with Access Ability Wisconsin as well as updated wayfinding signage anticipated to be installed in 2027.
