Bringing nature-based learning to every child, regardless of background. These funds support the Kids in the Park scholarship program which last year supported more than 975 students and young adults with disabilities to experience a hands-on nature-based program at either Wehr Nature Center or a neighboring Milwaukee County Park.
Keeping our trails welcoming and open to every visitor regardless of abilities. These funds specifically support maintenance of our all-terrain wheelchair program in partnership with Access Ability Wisconsin as well as updated wayfinding signage anticipated to be installed in 2027.

Friends of Wehr is a 2000+ member organization with over 300 active volunteers dedicated to sustaining and advocating for Wehr Nature Center.
