Our Goals
Friends of Wehr are joining several area non-profits in asking our community to give first to Wehr before spending begins on upcoming holidays. Our fundraising goal is to raise $10,000 in support of two major initiatives core to the center’s mission: Education and trail access for all.

Pantheon CAP Group - Maple Sugaring 2025
“It made all of us so happy to fully include this client in the entire outing! To see the big smile on her face as she navigated up that snowy hill was incredible! She never would have seen the sugar bush or the gigantic turkey tracks without that assist!?”

Pantheon CAP Group - Spring Pulling of Invasive Plants 2025
“It’s awesome to choose some projects that are hard or may be physically challenging for some of us! It is the perfect springboard for me to talk about teamwork, and perseverance. This is exactly why we volunteer in the community, and practicing our employment readiness skills is important!”

ACAP Waukesha
"The Wednesday morning hikes at Wehr nature center are a highlight of ACAP's outdoor adaptive recreation class, 'Let's Go'. The knowledge and activities shared by Emily creates such a captivating experience for ACAP members and helps members be true lifelong learners. By using the boardwalk trail, members with physical disabilities are able to get closer to nature and experience the joy of being surrounded by the trees and wildlife! These sessions with Wehr Nature Center add so much value to ACAP members' outdoor recreation experiences."
